For the last couple months I've been waiting to get a close up of the USS Iowa while she is still berthed in Richmond, but with the scaffolding and shrouds off.
By sheer luck when I stopped today I caught a restored Vietnam-era helicopter landing on the fantail, playing Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries on the way in. A special Mother's Day event.
Very impressed with the pilot's steady hand in 20 to 30 mile per hour winds. I'll try to post the video.
